The presentation covers the cultural differences between the motherland of tango and the USA regarding the body, sex, physical proximity and distance. The sex-tango association in foreign cultures, the connection of sensuality and sexuality, and the impediments to feeling comfortable in an embrace that is frontal, carnal, and intimate are explored. So is the concept of “intimacy” in Buenos Aires and in the USA culture. Questions and answers regarding cultural attitudes that facilitate or inhibit learning and enjoyment of tango dancing.
